Buick Special from 1956
This 1956 Buick Special has just completed the restoration. Bram’s Classic Cars has taken over this project from the previous owner and has finished the restoration. The car has been bought at the end of 2013 in Florida and was imported to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands the car was imported for Dutch License plates.
The exterior is completely repainted in this beautiful green two-tone lacquer. Also all the chrome is re-chromed. The brakes are upgraded to disk-brakes instead of drum-brakes.
The original 322cu (5,3l) Nailhead engine is rebuild by Bram’s Classic Cars. All parts that were worn out are replaced or revised. After rebuilding the engine was tested and the carburator was tuned on a test bench. Results of this tuning settings can be seen in one of the pictures below. Also the power steering unit was completely overhauled and works great. The gearbox is shifting good and smooth.
Interior is new and looks great. Car is equipped with electronic windscreen wipers and a classic sound system.
